Bingo! You Have 'Em All
Bingo has fascinated millions over the world with its simple game play and its lottery like style. Since its invention in the 1920s by Edwin Lowe, the original name Beano which means beans has been changed to Bingo. Although the set up reminds us of a typical lottery, it is still quite different in many ways.
Bingo is played usually in big groups in either church, through organizations or in the big casinos like in Las Vegas. The Bingo equipment consists of a bingo cage, in which the Bingo balls are located, Bingo cards, and a Bingo screen where you can see the called out results.
Lotteries in general always require the player to choose their set of numbers, but in the Bingo game it is quite different. In the Bingo game, the players are given Bingo cards which already have scrambled different numbers. Usually a player gets more than one Bingo card. The twist about the Bingo game is that the players have to mark their numbers when they are called and once they make a special design such as a complete row, then the Bingo player can shout Bingo! and wins a prize.
The Bingo game is decided by sheer luck and by a good Bingo card. The so-called caller is a person who does not play but calls out the Bingo number whenever the caller takes a ball out of the Bingo cage. The players are not allowed to say Bingo before the number has been properly called or in other words announced. Once the Bingo numbers are called, the players mark them with a marker or with a special Bingo marker which is called Bingo dauber. These daubers can come in many cute and funny designs and also come in different colors.
There are also the co-called terms in the Bingo game. There is the term being ready, which means that you only need a single number in order to complete your row to your Bingo. Another term that is being used in Bingo is jumping the gun which means that a person calls out a Bingo before the player even has one. When you break the bubble, you have just found a Bingo pattern at the earliest time possible, which is with only five numbers. There are also other things to watch out for in Bingo games, like the etiquette, because talking and the use of phones is highly discouraged during games.
Bingo has many inspired players and can even be used as a teaching technique for children. No matter how small the chance of getting a Bingo is, the love of the player will still keep Bingo alive.
